Konami have confirmed that the demo for Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is on the way. In fact, for some of you at least, you could be playing it as soon as next week.
If you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you’ll be able to download the demo next week, with regular PSN folk getting it on September 15th instead. There’s nothing concrete on when exactly the Xbox 360 demo will be available, but I’d take a wild guess that will arrive on the 15th too. I’ll update as soon as Konami have clarified on that bit.
The demo itself gives you a selection of four Teams, including FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich, Chivas Guadalajara and Sport Club Internacional. While those last two Teams are random to say the least, it’ll at least give some indication as to how the game’s engine has evolved, playing against either the A.I. or a friend. A full match would be nice, but don’t expect anything more than a half.
I’m one of the few remaining people that actually still prefers PES to FIFA to I’m pretty hyped about this one. As long as they make the online vaguely playable for a change, then Konami could be on to a winner. We shall know VERY soon…
