Up until now, on a Wednesday you’d be forced to hop on your PS3 and hope that Sony has seen fit to update the PlayStation Store on time. But to save you the hassle, the entire Store is available from the comfort of the chair where you currently reside, with a rather low-key launch on PC.

It means you can jump on and purchase games, before switching on your PS3 at your convenience and accessing your Download List. Unfortunately your downloads won’t start automatically making their way to your console as they do via the 360 portal, but I’m sure that feature will come in time.

It’s also not clear as to who actually has the PC PSN Store available to them at the moment. While it’s certain that the UK definitely have it, other territories are reporting that they can’t get on at all. If you can’t log on, expect to be able to in the coming days and weeks.

The whole interface looks really nice and clean, and a lot more user-friendly than the most recent redesign. My only gripe is that it still doesn’t have an option to manually search your Download List, meaning a lot of backtracking to check your old stuff. To check it out, you can log on over here.
