In a somewhat unusual move, Sony Computer Entertainment America have trademarked the name “Rain” in a new filing which can be found here.
The obvious response that many people might jump to when seeing the word “rain” is Quantic Dream’s story-driven QTE fest Heavy Rain, but then you have to remember that Quantic Dream are part of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe rather than America.
Are Sony just trademarking the weather or will we see more come Gamescom in a few weeks time? Watch this space.
