Madfinger Games’ latest mobile title, Dead Trigger, has gone free on iOS today. The move comes just a week after Madfinger made the game free on Android, citing piracy as the reason for reducing the game to nowt. In a statement on their official Facebook page for Dead Trigger, they said that the piracy rate was “so unbelievably high” for the game that in the end they decided it may as well just be free.
So instead of charging for the game itself, Madfinger are introducing in-app purchases in update 1.1.2, essentially making the game a freemium title. If you purchased the game before it was made free, you’ll apparently be given 25 gold and 10 casino chips for free, though we’re not sure how much that’s worth in terms of real money.
Dead Trigger is available now on both Android and iOS and is free to download on both platforms.
