Although the UK gets away with most game related adult content fairly scot-free, some other countries are less than lucky. Happily though, Borderlands 2 will be unchanged the world over with gore present in all versions of the game when released on September 21st.
The Gearbox team posted a statement on their Gearboxity blog:
Some fans will remember that the first Borderlands game was a bit toned down in certain territories compared to the rest of the world. No longer! Do you live in Germany? Australia? Bandits will be just as likely to explode into bloody chunks of awesomeness as they will be in Canada or England (which is to say: very likely.)
And if you’re against violence or perhaps want to make the game a little more playable when family might be present, you can turn off the gore at the push of a button in the menus.
Borderlands 2 will hit PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 21st. Head over and read our hands-on preview if you want to know more about the Borderlands sequel.
