Our resident video ninja, The Doofa, decided to scare herself silly this past weekend by playing the free-to-play indie PC title, Slender. The game has been out for a while now, but recently it has become something of a phenomenon. If you’ve been living under a rock in recent months however, then here’s the basic premise behind the game: you’re alone, in a forest, at night, armed with nothing more than a flashlight with a rapidly depleting battery, and the only objective is to locate eight pages of a manuscript about the Slender Man – a creepy, freakishly long-armed, suit-adorning paranormal…thing. The closer you come into contact with the Slender Man, the faster your sanity drains and if you look at him for too long or if you let him get too close then it’s game over, just like that.

You can see how The Doofa got on with the game in the first two episodes of her Slender – Let’s Play series…if you’re brave enough to watch them, that is. Trust us, this game really is not for the faint hearted, as evidenced by The Doofa’s many screams in the videos below, and there’s, ahem, a slender chance (sorry) that you won’t scream or at least jump out of your seat at some point yourself. Check ‘em out…
