Whilst “fans” could whine and complain about Mass Effect 3′s disappointing ending if they played on PS3 or Xbox 360, buying on Wii U won’t give you this privlege as the Extended Cut content will be included on the game’s disc when released.
Mass Effect 3′s ending was massively controversial when it emerged that every played got practically identical endings regardless of your actions throughout the trilogy. None of your huge decisions had any impact and players were up in arms over the generic ending. Extended Cut, enter stage right. Featuring all-new ending content, it adds personal impact to the endings and seems to have quelled most criticism players had.
The extended ending is basically going to be part of the game instead. You won’t have to download it.
Michael Gamble, producer of the Mass Effect series said to Siliconera.
The Wii U still doesn’t have a solid release date and it’s not known if Mass Effect 3 will necessarily be a launch title but rumours point to November.
