Whilst this week started off fairly quietly, us assuming we were in for an empty week in regards to news was proven wrong by a last minute explosion of information. Take a look at our highlights below.

Hands-On With Tekken Tag Tournament 2
In our first preview this week, we took the latest entry in Namco’s massive fighting game series and delivered as many KOs as we could in the name of video games journalism. Nothing to do with simply have fun, no sir, not at all. Fun aside, check out what we thought of the game and read up on some of the title’s new features.

Valve Announce Steam Greenlight
In an interesting move this week, Valve announced a new way for indie developers to get themselves known by the community before going on sale through Steam, rather than going through official higher-ups. It’s an interesting way for indie devs who might otherwise be turned down to get some exposure.

Metal Gear Solid 4 Finally Getting Trophy Support Next Month
No, really. The four year old PS3 game that players have wanted trophies added to for ages is finally getting them. Although we still have to wait a little longer for the patch to hit in August, if you’re like our very own Jamie, you’ll have been waiting for these for far too long and the last month or so won’t be too bad.

Rocksteady Developing Batman Prequel
Fan of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City? No doubt any news surrounding the future of Rocksteady’s take on the Batman series is good but imagine our surprise when rumours slipped out that the new game would be a prequel and star characters from DC’s Justice League. It could be very interesting if it works.

A second preview for you this week saw us return to the world of Pandora in search of all-new treasures to collect and exotic beasties to kill. Although it’s much more of the same that the original title offered, the new content and the greater focus on narrative means it’s definitely worth a look.

Another week, another Weekly Joypad in the bag. Come back next week or we’ll set the DJP dogs on you. Maybe. Probably not. But come back next week anyway, okay?
