3DS owning Rayman fans can rejoice, Ubisoft has finally stuck a date on the 3DS port of last year’s sublime Rayman Origins. Friday, June 8th is the day that those who somehow managed to miss Origins when it launched on consoles last November (which is actually deemed a criminal offense…well, by me anyway) will be able to get their hands on the 3DS version.

The 3DS version makes full use of the 3D capabilities of the device, there are no touch controls however, the touchscreen is simply used to display a map of the level you’re currently in to give you a rough idea of how much progress you’ve made. A demo version of the game launched on the eShop yesterday, so make sure you hop on there with your 3DS and give it a go. Three full levels are included with the free trial.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have a gander at Dan’s review of the PS3/360 version of Rayman Origins, and Jamie’s review of the Vita edition to see if it’s your cup of tea before it arrives on the 3DS next month.
