It looks like June is shaping up to be a decent month of gaming. Earlier today we brought you the news that Inversion was arriving early on in the month, and now Warner Bros. has announced that Lollipop Chainsaw will be launching on June 13th in Europe (likely meaning June 15th for those in the UK). It’s the latest project from Suda 51-fronted Grasshopper Manufacture, so the amount of sense achieved throughout will be minimal. Which is why it will be brilliant.
It follows the story of Juliet Starling, a cheerleader who enjoys brandishing a giant chainsaw in her spare time. Her boyfriend is a dismembered head named Nick, and their job is to put an end to the zombie outbreak at San Romero High School.
You’ll be able to pick it up on both PS3 and Xbox 360 on that magical June 15th release date.
