The Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta is now live on Xbox Live and will be out later today on the PlayStation Network so we dove in and captured some juicy footage for you. The multiplayer demo only spans one map, Paris Métro, in one game mode, Rush, but we got to take a look at how the battle between Call of Duty and Battlefield is shaping up.
The map itself is a large city-based map which begins in a park and heads into an underground tube station before culminating on the streets of Paris. The game mode Rush, sees you either defending or attacking two bomb targets. Destroying the two targets will cause two more to appear further into the map for you to destroy. Destroying all eight will win you the game if you’re attacking and if you’re defending, taking out enough of the enemy will net you the win.
Of course the full game will contain many more huge, sprawling maps and multiple game modes but for now, this is all we have. Check it out below and let us know what you think of the beta so far if you’ve nabbed it. If you’ve yet to nab it, go get it now as it’s not open for very long.
Battlefield 3 will hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 28th and the multiplayer beta is out now.
