Hidden object games have been pretty popular on the PC over recent times. Some being insanely hard and driving your eyes into spasm while the clock counts down with only one object to go. The Guinness Book of Records has been in print since 1954, when only one thousand copies were produced and given away. In 1955 the Book of Records went straight to the top of the British best seller list, with over 70,000 copies being sold in the USA. Since then a yearly revision is published each and every October. On the 8th February 2008 Guinness released the first ever Book of Records dedicated to the world of video games, with Twin Galaxies providing the high scores. This was the first time that record breaking games, gamers, gaming platforms, and the people behind them have been brought together in one place. On the same day that Darksiders hit stores across the UK a certain other hack-and-slash action game from SEGA made itself available. With the average gamer’s January budget never being a strong one, and Bayonetta being screamed about the most, Darksiders was certainly starting to look a little overshadowed to say the least. Even for me, when both games arrived at DailyJoypad HQ for review, it was SEGA’s title that I wanted to get stuck into the most. But then it came time for Darksiders, and all I could think about was how underwhelming it would probably be.
